HOMECOMING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20
Our 145th Anniversary celebration will culminate during Homecoming Sunday, October 20. Homecoming Sunday is where we welcome back former and current members who may have been away and serves as a reminder of how good God has been to us as a congregation. During our homecoming celebration, the candidate for pastor that the pastoral search committee presented to the church during the Congregational Conversations on September 15 will preach. After the Morning Worship, there will be a special church meeting for members to vote on the candidate as recommended by the PSC. More details will follow
145th ANNIVERSARY/HOMECOMING FAITH SHARE OFFERING
As part of the Anniversary celebration, we are inviting you to demonstrate your appreciation for the church and what First Baptist has meant to you through a “Faith Share” offering of at least $145. A “Faith Share” is a dollar for each year of the church’s existence. This gift authenticates our appreciation for God’s faithfulness toward us and in so doing demonstrates our faith that God will continue to bless First Baptist Church into the future. This offering will serve as an investment and deposit into the church programmatic year which began during Anniversary Sunday, September 15. If you did not have an opportunity to give on Anniversary Sunday, you may give throughout the month through Homecoming Sunday, October 20.
