Our Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Thanksgiving Sunday, November 24 following Morning Worship at 12:30 pm in Robbins Dining Hall. The requested donation is $8 per person ($5 for children). Please RSVP to the church office by Monday, November 18. We are planning a wonderful time of fellowship. The luncheon is not just about the turkey and all the trimmings; it’s also about sharing stories of God’s work. During this luncheon, we are setting aside some time to allow for the congregation to express your thankfulness. It is so encouraging to hear the wonderful things that God is doing in people’s lives. The food will be great but the sharing will be even better. We will also present The Townsend Award for Outstanding Christian Service at FBCLA for over 30 years to a deserving member. HOLIDAY FOOD COLLECTION FOR FAMILIES IN NEED:
Friends, we could use your help! Our Food Pantry Ministry provides food on a bi-weekly basis to the community. We are encouraging all members to bring canned food or non-perishable items for our Pantry each Sunday throughout the month of November. During this holiday season, there are many families who are in need. As a church family, we will demonstrate God’s love through our sharing of food and other resources to those who are in need. We will pray for the food (and all of its future recipients) during the worship service on November 24.
