Music Ministry Church Choir

When: Sunday Mornings
Time: 8:30 am
Details: Music Room at FBCLA – Get Directions

Christian devotion can take many different forms.  The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and lead the congregation in worship.  We’ll help you think critically and biblically about the role of music in worship while you share your musical gift as an integral part of the worship services. We strive to connect with Jesus as we perform, appreciate, and share in music during every service.

I Am What You See (Lead By Pastor William H. Murphy III)Live
Album: Cry Your Last Tear

We are still growing in our appreciation of the myriad expressions of worship.  Our introduction of more contemporary songs is about a year old now and the execution of it has seen some changes. We continue to discover the many ways in which we can worship God, and the stretching of our perspectives has been a healthy one.  Thanks to the piano accompaniment of Gregory Ross Miller and Kyle Irwin’s great willingness to accompany on the contemporary songs.

We have incorporated more laity into the worship experience, including our youth and young adults who assist by reading the scripture lesson, sharing the peace, and bringing special readings for lent and advent. We are pleased to display the diversity of the body of Christ in this manner.

We will continue to entertain other expressions in the near future.  We are excited to have Kelsey Mobley bless us with a liturgical dance on Palm Sunday!  This is a relatively new experience to our worship.  We thank God for the many expressions of praise we can offer to him!  And as usual, the children will enter worship carrying the palms in commemoration of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.  Also, our 7 am Easter Sunrise Service will consist of an all-contemporary set, while our 10 am worship will feature our much-loved traditional expression.

We pray that you will join us for the services of the season and beyond…
