CONGREGATIONAL CONVERSATIONS – “Discovering a New Identity”

As a result of our most recent Congregational Conversations where we discussed Coming to Terms with History and Reassessing Our Current Reality, we will begin a series of informal “table talk” conversations during the Coffee/Fellowship Hour following Morning Worships.

During this informal gathering, we will also distribute summaries from the April 6 & 7 Conversations and results from the Questionnaire about “Life Cycle of a Congregation” to those who completed the hard copy version.  During this and future informal “table talk” conversations during the Fellowship Hour, we will also read and review the book, “Scrappy Church” by Thom Rainer which provides hope to churches and gives a road map to turnaround churches by addresses the following adjustments that churches need to make:

1. From excuses to ownership.

2. From obstacles to allies.

3. From limitations to abundance.

4. From despair to joy.

5. From fear to courage.

6. From impossible to possible.

The next Congregational Conversation will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 11am to 1pm in Robbins Hall where we will discuss “Discovering a New Identity” Part I. Please plan to join us at both events.
